Get cooking with these easy solutions to clear counters and organize drawers. 1) Pare down. Rid drawers of the melted spatulas and stained spoons you no longer use. Replace them with a set like of fundamentals which includes six key meal-prep tools and a storage base. 2) Caddy up. Place a second sponge and brush holder under the sink to neatly stash extra scrubbers (like a bottle brush) and keep them handy. 3) Hide the rack. Get more space by storing your dish rack and drain board under the sink when not in use. Opt for a rack that collapses or, if you wash a few items at a time, go with a roll-up mat. 4) Downsize appliances. Trade in a bulky blender, mixer or food processor for a mini one. These do the job without hogging space. 5) Return grocery bags for recycling. Most supermarkets have bins to recycle plastic bags. Use one bag to store all your plastic bags from shopping as well as from bread, dry-cleaning and other items. When it's full, take them all back to the store. 6) Pure plastics. Gather lidless, warped, discolored and mismatched plastic storage containers and toss or put them out with your other plastic recycling.
